Before joining SEI, Nathan worked as a research assistant for Innovative Mobility Research where he conducted studies of transit oriented development. At SEI, Nathan McKenzie supports several projects, including the coordination of energy efficiency retrofits for affordable housing, the recruitment of a green workforce for the Home Energy Retrofit Occupations (HERO) project, and educational programs engaging youth in sustainability audits of schools and homes.

Nathan McKenzie holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of California, Berkeley in Conservation and Resource Studies focused on Urban Sustainability.
