SEI’s role is primarily to help the program achieve its participation goals. SEI follows up with homeowners to ascertain what they learned from their free energy survey, and what actions they plan to take. SEI also provides resources for contractors and homeowners to learn about rebates and financing options for home energy upgrades. In addition, SEI helps to coordinate Building Performance Institute trainings for contractors, and markets the program overall, to ensure that available funds are utilized by homeowners to make energy upgrades over the course of the project, which runs through March 2012.
