SEI’s multifamily and affordable housing programs are highlighted in a recent report entitled Bridge to the Clean Economy: Low Carbon, High Impact Market Initiatives for the Bay Area. The Bay Area Climate Collaborative is sponsoring a series of webinars that explore the report and invited SEI to discuss the impact and importance of addressing the multifamily sector on April 12th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Register here for the webinar series.
Successful programs that address the multifamily and affordable housing sectors, like SEI’s Multifamily Energy Partnership, show particular promise and significant payback in advancing clean energy and climate work over the short term.
The Bay Area Climate Collaborative is inviting clean energy and climate experts like yourself from across sectors – business, local and regional government, NGOs, academia – to shape proposed strategic initiatives in four key domains: distributed renewables, commercial efficiency, residential upgrades and electric vehicles. Initiatives may be completely new, or may showcase existing leaders and projects, but all will deliver concrete action opportunities to drive scaled implementation, delivering significant payback under current policy and independent of major government investment.
Draft initiatives are now available for review through BACC’s online forum. Join SEI in sharing your ideas, comments and resource suggestions to help shape the final initiatives. Your feedback will be critical to informing and advancing the final set of proposed initiatives which will set the direction of Bay Area clean energy and climate work for the next 2-5 years.
