In partnership with Town Green, Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) is currently working with the City of Gilroy to develop its Climate Action Plan. SEI is focusing on the energy component of the development of the CAP, including the identification, prioritization, recommendation, and quantification of emissions reduction measures for both the municipal and community sectors of Gilroy. In addition to quantifying the emissions reductions, SEI is also conducting a cost benefit analysis of the recommended measures. Project outcomes will include:

o Identification of new emissions reduction measures related specifically to energy, including quantified emissions reduction and cost benefit analysis for Gilroy’s municipal and community sectors

o Development of a CAP that will include the summary of the updated greenhouse gas emissions inventory and the identified emissions reduction measures for Gilroy and their co-benefits

The final CAP for Gilroy is expected to be completed in early 2011.
