Helping Communities Embrace Sustainability
For more than a decade, Strategic Energy Innovatons (SEI) has helped students, schools, colleges/universities, local governments, utilities, and affordable housing providers and residents to adopt energy efficiency and sustainable practices. Our services include: Program Innovation, Strategic Consulting, Customized Training and Curriculum.
The sustainability field is constantly evolving, all the while increasing in both visibility and importance. Regulations, markets, and other critical forces are changing daily, challenging the capacity of organizations to plan and execute their initiatives. SEI staff assist our community partners across a wide spectrum of exploratory activities – from compiling a rich assessment of a particular sector, to developing a critical analysis of a program concept, or an overview of trends and current practices.
SEI’s staff has a magnitude of experience developing curriculum for K-12 classrooms as well as college courses. Content is most often developed in partnership with school personnel (faculty and administrators) and piloted within classrooms.
SEI's highly trained staff has extensive experience managing and coordinating a wide range of clean energy, green building and sustainability education and training initiatives. From instructing students on conducting school-based energy efficiency audits, to working with teachers on presenting new curriculum, to leading technical trainings with area professionals, our team has a proven track record of designing and facilitating new approaches with the purpose of broadly disseminating critical information, skills and best practices.
Working across a variety of partners - utilities, local governments, schools, housing agencies - SEI staff are well-versed in defining strategic policies and related programs. We serve as a community’s bridge to sustainability, leveraging our team’s collective knowledge, networks and proven support models that include the following areas: Strategy Development, Climate and Sustainability Planning, Program/Project Management, and Policy Development.
