ICLEI-USA Inc. is the domestic leader on climate protection and adaptation, and sustainable development at the local government level. ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) is a membership association of local governments committed to advancing climate protection and sustainable development. Since its inception in 1990, ICLEI has grown to include nearly 1,000 cities in the world, more than 350 of which are in the United States.

Scientific American has compiled a provocative list of common myths about sustainability.When a word becomes so popular you begin hearing it everywhere, in all sorts of marginally related or even unrelated contexts, it means one of two things. Either the word has devolved into a meaningless cliché, or it has real conceptual heft. "Green" (or, even worse, "going green") falls squarely into the first category. SEI and EAH Housing Awarded Marin Community Foundation Funding

Strategic Energy Innovations, in partnership with EAH Housing, an affordable housing nonprofit organization, was awarded $550,000 in grant and loan assistance for the Marin Community Foundation. Online Teacher Training on Sustainability Curriculum

On September 19, Strategic Energy Innovations and the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) will be hosting a one-hour teacher training webinar to support teachers in implementing both the SEI and Education and Environment Initiative (EEI) curriculums in their classrooms.  Educators will receive training from fellow teachers on how to use these curricula to engage students in sustainability education projects.
