Each of our programs has undergone rapid innovation to deliver virtual resources and support. Below, you’ll find a brief overview of the response and available resources from our K-12, college, and career programs. Please visit program-specific sites for more information, or get in touch with us. If you are able to support environmental education and workforce development at a time when we need it most, we're graciously accepting donations.
K-12
SEI’s Energize Schools program is continuing to provide students and teachers with engaging learning opportunities during school closures.
We’ve adapted our most popular curriculum to provide hands-on learning opportunities for students in a distance learning environment. Our distance learning resources are NGSS-aligned, student-facing, and adaptable with or without internet access. The resources cover topics such as air quality, solar design, and energy and include short readers on climate change and respective topics along with interactive activities.

This summer, SEI will be hosting virtual teacher trainings on energy auditing, climate change, air quality and renewable energy. These trainings will provide educators with curriculum and instructional support needed to engage students through in-class, distance, or blended learning settings.
Our annual Green Careers Conferences were transitioned and adapted to a virtual setting. This year, rather than attending an in-person event, students tuned into our Green Careers Webinar Series. This online series provides students an opportunity to explore career pathways within the environmental sector from their homes. The webinar series features professionals from the sustainability field sharing their career path, what their job entails, and offering real solutions to environmental challenges. You can request access to our library of webinar recordings.
SEI’s School of Environmental Leadership (SEL) teachers and students have shown impressive dedication and agility in adapting our project-based courses to remote learning. Our flagship school, MarinSEL, held a virtual version of their annual Green Business Leaders Event - a powerful platform for young entrepreneurs to launch their sustainable enterprises - on April 30th. Watch a recording of the live event or check out the student businesses.
College
SEI's Energize Colleges program has experienced unanticipated impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, we are taking precautions to safeguard our partners, fellows, interns, and our community's health by abiding by campus restrictions and CDC best practices. All of our current campus partners have moved to remote instruction and closed access to the physical campus.
In light of these restrictions, we transitioned existing on site campus internships to remote work and provide fellows with resources to continue the program remotely. For the foreseeable future, trainings will be delivered via online platforms, and we have provided our academic partners with remote learning resources.

Careers
SEI’s Climate Corps program has adapted to the obstacles of COVID-19 and continues to provide meaningful sustainability support to our partners and a sustainability pathway for emerging professionals. We're thankful for the adaptability and resilience of our Fellows and Partners to meet critical climate goals through high-impact projects.
To protect the health and safety of our Fellows and communities, all Climate Corps Fellows have transitioned to working remotely in compliance with shelter in place guidelines. Hear from a handful of our Fellows on how they’ve adapted:
